What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy uses skilled verbal communication during hypnosis to direct your imagination in such a way as to encourage desired alterations in thoughts, feelings, perceptions and behaviour.  Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness, just like being in a daydream.  Whilst in a hypnotized state, changes can be made in the sub or unconscious mind.  You will be completely relaxed and comfortable which will enable me to assist you to making positive changes in your life.  You will only respond to suggestions that feel safe and are appropriate.  You cannot be made to do anything against your will or consent. 

Why use it?

Hypnotherapy uses positive suggestion to enable the client to discover skills, strengths and resources then focus on these elements to achieve a desired result.    It is widely used for all psychosomatic disorders.  (i.e. those mental and emotional states     which actually produce physical symptoms)  Simply put, hypnotherapy can generally help with    any    problem you're finding hard to handle on your own - thoughts and actions you'd like to banish or      acquire, or emotional suffering that is too overwhelming or has gone on too long.

  Some physical problems can also be treated effectively by hypnotherapy.
